Job summary

Abraxas Youth & Family Services seeks a Program Manager to provide leadership and oversight within a residential treatment facility for youth, guiding front-line supervisors and coordinating care with clinical and educational teams.

The role emphasizes safety, structure, and therapeutic environment, with responsibilities spanning staffing, admissions/discharges, and documentation to meet standards and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of progressive experience in residential or non-residential operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of progressive experience in residential and/or non-residential program operations.
• Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Criminal clearances (State, BCI&I and FBI if necessary).
• Non-communicable diseases physical exam and drug test.
• Valid unrestricted Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of front-line supervisors to maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment.
• Collaborate with clinical, educational, and operational teams to support treatment planning and coordinated program delivery.
• Support staffing coverage, scheduling, and timekeeping practices to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
• Ensure program operations and documentation meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Participate in treatment team discussions and provide guidance related to youth behavior, progress, and program needs.
• Support admissions, discharges, and overall client flow to promote smooth facility operations.
• Serve as a communication link between front-line supervisors and leadership, reinforcing expectations and organizational values.
• Model and promote the organization’s mission, philosophy of care, and guiding principles.
