Job summary

Buckner is seeking a Child and Youth Coordinator for the Family Hope Center Program in Dallas, onsite at 3300 Lombardy. The role focuses on empowering children and youth, raising awareness for Buckner Family Hope Center, and coordinating on-site and community services to build resilient, thriving youth.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, at least two years of related experience, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency. CPR/First Aid training and driving privileges are also expected.

Qualifications

• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish professionally.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• CPR and First Aid training required.

Responsibilities

• Discuss needs of children and youth with Family Coach and connect with empowerment resources.
• Assist youth and children in accessing on-site programs and referrals.
• Develop and manage a system to coordinate on-site and off-site programs.
• Assist with program enrollments and school enrollment processes.
• Develop relationships with community organizations to guide program development.
• Assess needs of youth and children and recruit local programs addressing those needs.
• Coordinate regular events at FHC including sports camps and leadership programs.
• Organize and coordinate a comprehensive children and youth program with area schools.
• Maintain master calendar of all volunteer and campus activities and distribute notices.
• Coordinate in-kind donations and write thank you notes.
