Job summary

Trinity Church seeks a Youth Advisor to support Trinity Youth Afterschool and related programs for grades 6-12 in New York City. Work with the Associate Director to supervise activities, coordinate trips, and foster leadership, service, and college readiness.

The role emphasizes documentation, attendance, safety, and collaboration with youth staff across Trinity’s spaces and events, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years experience in education, youth faith formation, human services, social work, or community outreach.
• Experience with NYC youth from diverse backgrounds in formal or informal settings.
• Experience administering programs with youth in community, church, or school settings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of Trinity Youth members with close supervision of activities.
• Support learning opportunities in safe environments and during travel.
• Mentor and instruct youth participants; manage attendance and documentation.
• Follow safety guidelines and Trinity policies; coordinate snacks/meals with staff.
• Collaborate with Youth Minister and other teams to connect youth to resources.
