Job summary

The YMCA School Age Care Program at Woodbury Leadership Academy is seeking a Lead Staff to join our Monday through Friday team. You will help create an engaging environment for kids, lead activities, and support the Site Director with program operations.

This full-time role offers a 6:30am–6:00pm split shift, a $17.50 per hour wage, and benefits including a free Y membership and opportunities for professional growth within the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with school-aged children or SAC staff.
• MN or WI background check and state fingerprints required upon hire.
• CPR or CPR/First Aid certified or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge in child development, guidance, communication, or recreational programs.
• Commitment to working with school age children in a recreational setting.
• Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Director with planning, supervising, and implementing program activities.
• Travel locally to YMCA branches and other sites.
• Promote the program through calendars, emails, and parent communication.
• Provide work direction to staff and train on duty.
• Evaluate the program and suggest improvements to Site Director.
• Keep site clean and organized; manage admin tasks like registrations and forms.
