Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Central Coast is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) – Rover to support a designated Guadalupe home site and cover other club sites as needed. You will help ensure program quality, supervise youth, and support daily operations.

Responsibilities include planning and leading activities, coordinating volunteers, promoting safety, and maintaining records. This is an on‑site role requiring engagement with youth, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and HS diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience with school‑aged youth preferred.
• Strong planning, instruction, and guidance skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and email communications.
• Ability to supervise youth, communicate effectively, and manage behavior.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes and program participation.
• Provide positive behavior guidance and role modeling for members.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate programs ensuring safety and inclusivity.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records; prepare reports as needed.
• Communicate effectively with members, families, staff, and volunteers.
• Ensure equipment and spaces are safe and well maintained.
• Attend staff trainings and fulfill other duties as assigned.
