Job summary

YMCA in Morganton, NC is seeking a School Age Program Coordinator to manage the before/after/summer program, coordinate activities, support staff, and ensure successful implementation of grant-funded initiatives.

You will supervise staff, monitor attendance and safety, and maintain parent communication while ensuring licensing compliance. The role reports to the Associate Regional Programming Director, with posted salary range and benefits like EAP and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Education, Youth Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred; EDU 119 and BSAC required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination or management in youth development/educational setting
• Grant-funded programs and compliance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of before/after/summer program
• Coordinate and schedule program events, activities, and sessions
• Ensure licensing and sanitation compliance
• Support and supervise program staff
• Engage with parents/guardians regarding activities and progress
• Prepare reports on activities, outcomes, and compliance
