Griffith Family YMCA in Griffith, IN is seeking a School Age Coordinator to oversee before & after school and camp programs. You will lead youth-focused activities, ensure safety, and collaborate with families and staff to deliver high-quality programming.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience working with children of diverse ages and cultures.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED & First Aid and New Employee Orientation.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Organized and detail oriented.
• Adept computer skills in Office 365.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform office work such as filing, copying, record keeping, and payroll completion.
• Manage, maintain and report all state required records, CCDF, CACFP, and other 3rd parties.
• Lead activities and behavioral management.
• Support the Director in training and supervising assigned program staff and volunteers and ensure consistent delivery of programming and procedures.
• Provide a nurturing atmosphere and safety for all participants.
• Maintain appropriate teacher to student ratios during programming.
• Monitor purchase and maintain necessary equipment through scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with parents and respond to inquiries and complaints.
