• Experience with school-age children in group settings.
• Completion of child abuse prevention training prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Nurture children through purposeful programming focused on achievement and belonging.
• Maintain close visual supervision and follow staff-child ratios.
• Use positive behavior management and constructive discipline strategies.
• Promote inclusion and ADA compliance where appropriate.
• Plan and run classes around a specific topic and skill mastery, ending with a showcase.
• Communicate effectively with parents and engage them as volunteers.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and follow YMCA policies for safety and emergencies.
