Job summary

South Sound YMCA seeks a Group Leader Sub to support Site Directors across Olympia-area sites. The role involves leading activities for children, monitoring safety, and coordinating with school personnel.

Availability for up to 3 shifts per week, with shifts possibly at multiple locations including Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey or Shelton. Ideal candidates are at least 18, with a HS diploma in progress, and experience with children; a DCYF/SSYMCA background check is required.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age.
• Working toward completing a High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working with children; interact with school personnel professionally.
• Pass background check through DCYF and SSYMCA.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Director in leading groups of children and monitor whereabouts at all times.
• Report injuries and incidents to Site Director; file incident reports as needed.
• Maintain site cleanliness and custodial duties per school district standards.
• Use the site iPad to sign children in and out daily per SSYMCA procedures.
