Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California Kalispell Corps is seeking a part-time Youth Program Assistant to help run SAY Club activities and support youth programs. Responsibilities include supervising children, transporting participants, setting up spaces, and coordinating with parents.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and basic computer skills. Flexible schedule with weekend and summer shifts will be required at times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Some college preferred
• Previous Salvation Army work or church-based youth experience beneficial
• Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Supervise SAY Club programs and participants
• Set up chapel, gym, and classrooms for youth activities
• Maintain sanitary conditions in youth spaces
• Transport youth to and from programs and summer camp
• Communicate with parents regarding attendance and programs
• Serve meals and snacks in compliance with safety standards
• Develop and follow calendars of events and programs
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings
• Assist with fundraising and seasonal project coordination
• Perform other duties as assigned by Corps Officer(s)
