Job summary

The Salvation Army East Side Youth Center is hiring a Part-time Youth Program Assistant to support planning and leading activities for center members, advancing the program outcomes and mission. You will help implement engaging activities, assist with events, and help maintain a safe, orderly facility.

Responsibilities include reporting on activities, aiding outreach to boost participation, and collaborating with program leaders while upholding Christian principles and high professional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; experience with youth preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain) desirable.
• Valid State Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading center activities for youth.
• Support program outcomes and mission of The Salvation Army.
• Participate in special programs or events as needed.
• Maintain facilities and equipment; report repairs promptly.
• Assist with outreach to sustain and grow program participation.
• Prepare periodic activity reports and monitor program quality.
• Ensure safety and uphold professional standards in all activities.
• Promote a positive, Christ-centered environment for youth.
