Job summary

The Middletown Family YMCA invites applications for Youth Development Director to lead youth programs, oversee operations, and ensure safety and quality.

You will supervise staff, develop programs, manage enrollment and budgets, and engage families and the community; this full-time role offers benefits, generous vacation, and growth opportunities. Based in Middletown, DE, the position requires CDA or related degree and 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or associate degree in early childhood education, youth development, recreation or related field.
• Four+ years of experience in youth development, childcare, camp, sports, recreation, or related program management.
• Strong supervisory, development and evaluation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight for youth development programs including BASE or Day Camp, Teen and/or Youth Sports.
• Develops and evaluates comprehensive programs that meet community needs and YMCA mission.
• Manages enrollment, budgets, records, and regulatory compliance to ensure safety and quality.
• Coaches staff, maintains staffing plans and supports program operations evenings and weekends.
