YMCA of Greater Rochester is seeking a Program Director to lead the Before and After School Program Division. The role oversees BASP operations, staff supervision, and coordination with schools to deliver safe, high-quality programs for children under 13.

The position emphasizes revenue growth, fiscal management, and staff development while maintaining strong community partnerships and program excellence across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, or related field.
• At least 3 years direct experience working with children under 13.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong communication, networking and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated revenue growth and expense management.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Self-motivated, hands-on leader with professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Overall supervision and leadership of BASP operations in assigned district(s).
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop BASP staff.
• Liaise with parents and staff to ensure safe, quality environment.
• Oversee youth development programs per Association policies.
• Assist with Annual Campaign revenue development.
• Drive department revenue growth and program service enhancement.
• Maintain facility appearance and equipment; manage budgets.
• Ensure operations align with Association procedures and safety standards.
