Job summary

East Side House seeks a Program Director for the Urban Institute of Mathematics (UIM) in the Bronx to oversee the SONYC after-school program and summer camp. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating partnerships, and ensuring program quality and compliance with DYCD and DOH guidelines.

You will lead the development of high-impact youth programming, manage enrollments and budgets, and collaborate with school administration and families to expand services for urban youth.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or the equivalent of 5+ years in youth services preferred.
• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years supervising more than ten program staff.
• 2+ years of budget, contract, and grant management experience.
• Familiarity with Bronx communities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to SONYC after school staff.
• Recruit, hire, orient, and develop program staff.
• Manage enrollment and attendance reporting and DOH/ DYCD compliance.
• Coordinate events, budgets, and cross-borough activities.
• Develop partnerships and community engagement.
• Monitor program quality and safety per DYCD/ESN policies.
