Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Center Staff member in Waltham to plan and run youth development and teen activities with a strong emphasis on health and safety. You will work under the Director of Operations to implement programs aligned with the YMCA’s three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.

The role requires urban youth program experience, 21+ years old, and the ability to recruit teens, coordinate events, and monitor enrollments while engaging with

Qualifications

• Experience in program planning and development with youth in an urban environment.
• Minimum 21 years old and able to meet YMCA safety requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED and some college courses in youth education.
• Experience with youth education, job readiness and employment skills.

Responsibilities

• Help to develop and implement quality programs for middle and high school students.
• Set goals with the Director of Operations and review activity standards.
• Coordinate service delivery to maintain a teen-friendly and safe environment.
• Maintain and monitor enrollment and participation in YMCA programs.
• Ensure teens participate in required training, events, and collaborations.
• Recruit teens in the community and attend meetings as requested.
• Increase community visibility via weekly social media contacts.
• Maintain program areas and supplies and meet reporting requirements.
• Communicate program information and concerns promptly.
• Remain current in required and voluntary training for the three focus areas.
