Job summary

Christian County Library in Ozark, MO seeks a part-time Youth Services Associate to implement programming for ages 0–18 and support families in a welcoming branch environment.

Responsibilities include planning and presenting youth programs, conducting regular storytimes, and assisting with outreach to schools and community groups, with evenings and some Saturdays as needed. Beginning hourly salary is $16–$17.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years library experience or 30 college credit hours required.
• Experience working with children and teens preferred.
• College credits with an education emphasis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and present youth programs for ages 0–18.
• Plan and present regular storytimes for ages 0–18 months to 6 years.
• Assist with annual reading challenges including Summer Reading Challenge.
• Record statistics of programs and evaluate effectiveness.
• Promote programs and assist patrons with registrations.
• Travel to other branches to assist with programs.
