Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Maury County is seeking a part-time Youth Programs Assistant to deliver hands-on activities for K-12 students in a safe, fun environment. You’ll guide youth through academic, health, and citizenship goals, using prepared lesson plans and materials.

Responsibilities include maintaining classroom order, mentoring youth, scheduling and recording participation, and collaborating with staff to ensure quality programs and safety across all activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Some experience working with children is required.
• Prior Boys & Girls Club experience or similar is preferred.
• Must relate to youth and manage a classroom while ensuring activities are FUN.

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on programs with youth focused on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship.
• Prepare Youth for Success and implement club programs under supervision.
• Read lesson plans, organize materials, and prepare day-to-day activities.
• Maintain safety, supervise behavior, and enforce discipline per policy.
• Build positive relationships, mentor youth, and ensure a supportive environment.
