Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator for the Mission Clubhouse in San Francisco. This part-time, in-person role (25 hrs/wk during the school year; 40 hrs/wk in summer) supports engaging programs for members ages 6–18 and helps with daily operations and attendance tracking.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth ages 6–18 in a youth development setting.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with youth quickly.
• Strong behavior management and positive discipline skills while maintaining high expectations.
• Passion for diverse youth programming (technology, art, sports, academics, recreation).
• Excellent verbal, written communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with PC software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop).
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to build and follow systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-impact youth development programming for members ages 6–18.
• Plan, run, and support stimulating activities (homework help, tutoring, arts/sports projects).
• Promote department membership to ensure active participation in Learning Center activities.
• Inspire youth to pursue academic success and post-secondary goals.
• Assist with daily school pick-ups, meals, games room activities, and outdoor recreation.
• Record attendance and support administrative reporting.
