Job summary

Beach Cities Health District in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks an AdventurePlex Programs Supervisor to advance youth programs and ensure integration with schools, families and community groups.

Under the Director of Well Being Services, you will manage staff, develop seasonal camps, track budgets and outcomes, build partnerships with vendors, and represent BCHD at meetings and events. You will also coordinate interns, produce program reports, and uphold BCHD values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development, early childhood education, health promotion, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience developing and coordinating programs and leading teams.
• Experience in public health or youth program development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees revenue generation for AdventurePlex programs and reports on metrics to leadership.
• Supervises program staff, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and timekeeping; serves as on-duty manager.
• Maintains relationships with vendors and independent contractors supporting programs.
• Leads development of programming for children ages 0-5 and caregivers; coordinates with stakeholders.
• Develops and implements seasonal camps; coordinates staff scheduling; training and oversight of Camp Staff.
• Manages interns: recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support.
• Develops evaluation processes and reports program metrics for benchmarking.
• Collaborates with Communications for promotion and outreach activities.
• Assists director with annual budget tracking and contracts/grants administration.
• Represents BCHD at meetings and community events; embodies BCHD values.
• Performs disaster service worker duties and other assigned projects.
