Job summary

Beach Cities Health District is seeking a dedicated, youth-centered professional to support allcove participants at the Redondo Beach center. You will provide peer-based guidance, assist with intake and orientation, and help connect youth to resources and services.

Collaborating with peer assistants and youth advisors, you will co-facilitate workshops, document activities, and support outreach events to raise awareness and participation in allcove activities.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in health promotion, public health, community development, social or behavioral sciences, social work, planning, or a related discipline.
• At least one year of experience providing peer-based support and youth-centered engagement.
• Knowledge of FERPA and privacy requirements for minors and young adults.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is highly desirable.
• Ability to locate and connect youth with local services and resources.

Responsibilities

• Orient participants, assist with intake forms and screenings.
• Provide peer support, coaching, and goal setting with participants.
• Collaborate with volunteer Peer Assistants for youth-centered sessions.
• Support Youth Advisory Group planning and outreach activities.
• Co-facilitate peer workshops and group activities.
• Maintain participant records and data collection.
• Rotate through on-site shifts to support services and operations.
• Engage community partners to inform and promote center services.
