Job summary

Episcopal Community Services seeks an Assistant Group Supervisor for the Darby, PA OST program. The role supports after-school activities, academics, enrichment, meals, and field trips for elementary/middle school youth.

Hours are 2:30 PM–6:00 PM on weekdays, with 15–20 hours weekly and summer camp hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for six weeks. Starting wage $18.54–$19.10 per hour with bonuses and subsidies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with child-related experience.
• Multiple education/experience paths accepted for OST role.
• PA background clearances to be obtained prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement activities for children and youth to boost self‑esteem and performance.
• Engage middle school youth with formal and informal instruction and enrichment.
• Be aware of mandated reporter rules and trauma‑informed care.
• Assist with meals and snacks as part of OST program.
• Maintain clean, safe OST program spaces and confidentiality.
• Help coordinator manage program supplies and resources.
• Work shifts to meet program ratios; attend compliance training.
• Observe and communicate information about participants and locations.

Education

High school diploma + 2,500 hours with children

High school diploma + 15 college credits in education/human services + 1 year with children

High school diploma + 30 college credits in education/human services

Associates degree in related discipline (highly desired)
