The Youth Program Specialist provides career exploration, job search, placement, and retention program services and related training, either in-house or community-based, to adjudicated or at-risk youth. The role involves ensuring needs are met, goals are implemented, and a safe environment is maintained. Responsibilities include facilitating individual service plan development and supporting participants in accessing available services to achieve their goals. The position requires assessing participants, developing and documenting goals and plans, implementing and monitoring these plans, and transporting participants or materials. This is a community-based position.
External hiring range: $18.25 - $18.98/hour
Travel required: Yes, local travel is necessary.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with some evenings and weekends as needed. Schedule may vary based on department needs.
Required degree fields include Communication, Human Services, Education, or related fields. Experience should involve working with low-income, at-risk, or adjudicated youth/young adults, including youth in foster care.
