Job summary

Roads to Success is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Program Director in daily leadership, coordination, and operation of an NYC RTS program site.

This role leads on-site operations five days a week, supervises frontline staff, ensures safe, youth-centered programming, and maintains attendance, documentation, and family engagement while upholding the Circle of Courage framework.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, Human Services, Recreation, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in youth development, after-school programming, education, or related environment.
• Previous lead/supervisory or program coordination experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and program/data systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Director with daily coordination and operation of the assigned program site.
• Serve as the designated site leader when the Program Director is absent.
• Ensure attendance, staff assignments, activities, and safety procedures are followed.
• Provide direction, coaching, and supervision to frontline staff.
• Assist with family engagement, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Monitor program quality and youth development practices.
