Job summary

Roehl YMCA is seeking a part-time Youth Program Instructor/Youth Monitor to create a fun, safe, and welcoming space for youth in our community in Wisconsin. You will supervise youth areas, participate in games and activities, and help ensure a positive environment aligned with YMCA policies.

Ideal candidates have experience with school-aged youth and a passion for youth development, with a willingness to attend trainings and obtain additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged youth and teens preferred.
• Enthusiasm for youth development, recreational activities, and creating a positive environment.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certifications as requested.

Responsibilities

• Supervise designated youth areas to ensure participants remain in approved program spaces and follow YMCA policies and expectations.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of assigned program areas to monitor participant safety, behavior, and facility conditions.
• Build positive relationships with youth by actively participating in games, arts and crafts, group activities, and other recreational opportunities.
• Encourage participation by welcoming youth into activities and helping create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
