Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Two years of job-related experience in a human services delivery setting.
• Experience working with offenders and their families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview probationers and parolees to evaluate progress.
• Recommend remedial action or initiate court action for non-compliance.
• Administer drug and alcohol tests to verify treatment compliance.
• Prepare and maintain case folders for each offender.
• Discuss factors contributing to criminal behavior with offenders.
• Conduct investigations and testify in court as needed.
• Inform offenders about conditional release requirements.
• Write progress reports and evaluations.
• Arrange medical or mental health treatment services as required.
• Supervise community-based sentences and conduct home/work visits.
