Job summary

Child & Family Service in Hawaii seeks a Youth Development Specialist I (YDS-I) to deliver substance misuse prevention services to children, youth and adults in schools and community programs. You will implement evidence-based curricula, speak at health fairs, and build partnerships with local schools.

The role requires teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to teach curricula, develop PowerPoint materials, and document work clearly.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a human services field.
  • Preferred: Certified Prevention Specialist or willingness to pursue certification while employed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver substance misuse prevention services to children, youth, and adults in schools and community settings.
  • Teach evidence-based prevention curricula to groups of 9–17-year-olds.
  • Engage in community outreach, health fairs, and partner development.
