Job summary

Child & Family Service (CFS) is seeking a Youth Development Specialist I (R1) to provide outreach, assessments, and counseling for adolescents and their families across school and community settings on Oahu, Hawaii. This role uses a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to empower youth and promote healthy outcomes, with up to 19 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree and relevant experience; CSAC certification is preferred or to be completed after hire.

Qualifications

Four-Year College Degree from an accredited school; general major.
Bachelor's degree in social work or related human service field preferred.
Over one year up to two years working with adolescents.
CSAC or will complete CSAC requirements after hire.

Responsibilities

Provide outreach, assessment, and counseling services for adolescents and families.
Facilitate individual and group sessions in school and community environments.
Collaborate with team members, schools, and community partners.
Implement programs using a strength-based, trauma-informed framework.
Support youth in building resilience, coping skills, and healthy decision-making.
