• One year as a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist Trainee.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields and one year experience in drug and alcohol prevention work.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning: Develop prevention programs that meet identified school and community needs.
• Community Representation: Serve as the Single County Authority representative on committees and local groups.
• Education Delivery: Provide training, lessons, and intervention services to students, parents, educators, and service providers.
• Documentation Management: Maintain required records and complete timely data entry in the DDAP prevention management system.
• Program Evaluation: Assess program effectiveness, perform needs assessments, and adjust strategies as needed.
• SAP Support: Offer consultation, screenings, and support group facilitation as the Drug and Alcohol liaison to SAP teams.
