Job summary

Wayne County Drug & Alcohol is seeking a part-time Prevention Specialist Trainee in Honesdale, PA. The role supports school and community prevention programs, delivering education, coordinating activities, and maintaining records.

Training and ongoing DDAP credentialing are required, with some travel and flexible hours to align with school schedules. The position offers seasonal, part-time hours, a standard 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule during the school year, and no telework option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
• Must meet PA residency requirement and able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program in schools and communities.
• Deliver education, organize activities, and maintain program records.
• Assist with prevention activities, planning trainings, and materials for students, parents, and groups.
• Maintain records in the state prevention system and assist with program evaluation.
• Serve as a liaison for Student Assistance Program meetings and school-based intervention support.
• Complete all required DDAP trainings and maintain training credits.
