Job summary

Diakon seeks a dedicated youth services professional to develop and oversee day and evening programs that support youth through counseling and life skills development. You will mentor participants, assist them in setting personal goals, and document progress with care and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes creating structured youth activities, coordinating staff, and maintaining accurate written summaries of program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
• Experience: a minimum of one year in related positions normally required.
• ADA: ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, instruct, coordinate, and supervise youth programs including life space counseling & management.
• Serve as counselor/mentor to assigned youth, helping them achieve personal goals and well-being.
• Prepare a written summary of applicable work.
