Job summary

Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) is seeking a Youth Intervention Specialist to supervise program participants around the clock and assist with daily activities. The role supports residents’ Individual Service Plans and coordinates transportation as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with at least two years of experience with at-risk youth, and required CPR/First-Aid training along with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience working with at-risk youth.
• CPR, First-Aid, Restraint training required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24-hr supervision/guidance to program participants.
• Maintains timely documentation for Next Step Youth Shelter and Next Step Independent Living.
• Transports residents to activities and coordinates their daily schedules.
• Assists with Life Skills instruction and development of residents’ goals.
• Manages crisis situations using Handle with Care techniques.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate Degree preferred
