Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services seeks a Teen Permanency Supervisor to lead a team within the Child Welfare Program. You will supervise staff, develop service delivery strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations to support safer, healthier outcomes for youth and families.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with community partners, and data-informed practice, with occasional travel and a commitment to equity and trauma‑informed care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
• One year of lead work, supervision, or related experience required.
• If degree is non-human services, coursework equivalent to Oregon Caseworker Competency and one year lead experience.
• Associate degree with three years of human services experience and one year lead work.
• Experience supervising staff and applying policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and resolving complaints.
• Plan and implement service delivery strategies aligned with community needs and resources.
• Interpret and apply DHS policies and District procedures.
• Delegate personnel and resources to ensure client service continuity and address grievances.
• Ensure compliance with program standards, rules, and legal requirements through case/workload reviews.
• Monitor client needs and adjust service delivery for timely casework.
• Provide consultation and training to staff and liaise with community agencies.
