Job summary

Child and Family Focus Inc. seeks a Youth Peer Support to assist parents/caregivers of youths enrolled in the Montgomery County Intensive Care Coordination Program.

The role involves trauma-informed, person-centered support, delivered face-to-face or via telehealth, to help families develop skills and community connections as outlined in the Family Service Plan. The position emphasizes leveraging lived experience to model empowerment, provide objective guidance, and collaborate with the ICC Team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience handling complex emotional and behavioral needs.
• Life experience to understand diverse youth challenges.
• Experience navigating child-serving systems (mental health, child welfare, probation, education).

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to youth throughout the ICC process.
• Develop the youth's team of supports (natural, community, and systems).
• Model navigating systems using their voice to meet needs and build community supports.
