Job summary

Alive Church in Orlando, Florida is seeking a passionate Youth Pastor/Director to lead Alive Youth, disciple students, and build a thriving student ministry within the church family.

The role focuses on weekly Wednesday services, leader development, school clubs, and family discipleship. This full-time, in-person position requires a heart for students, strong organizational skills, and a calling to youth ministry.

Responsibilities

• Lead Wednesday youth services and weekly Planning Center plans.
• Recruit, pastor, and develop Dream Team and student leaders.
• Establish and support student-led clubs at schools.
• Strengthen follow-up, parent communication, and Kids-to-Youth transition.
• Support camps, Youth Revivals, and church events.
• Track budgets, ministry metrics, and monthly reports to NextGen Pastor.

Job description

Alive Church is looking for a passionate, organized, and Spirit-led Youth Pastor / Director to lead Alive Youth and help students encounter Jesus and find their place in our church family.

This role will lead weekly Wednesday youth services, equip student and adult leaders, grow school outreach through student-led clubs, and build discipleship and follow-up systems that connect students and their families to Jesus and Alive Church. The ideal candidate has a pastor’s heart for students, loves building leaders, and sees every Wednesday, school club, camp, and revival as a chance for a generation to come alive in God.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead prepared, spiritually impactful Wednesday youth services and weekly Planning Center service plans.
• Recruit, pastor, and develop Dream Team and student leaders who disciple students throughout the week.
• Establish and support student-led clubs at middle and high schools.
• Strengthen student follow-up, retention, parent communication, and the Kids-to-Youth crossover.
• Support camp, two annual Youth Revivals, Sunday culture, and church-wide events.
• Track budgets, ministry metrics, and testimonies, and report monthly to the NextGen Pastor.

Qualifications

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus, alignment with the beliefs and culture of Alive Church, and strong pastoral character.
• Demonstrated ability to disciple people, recruit and coach leaders, and communicate clearly.
• Strong organization, teamwork, and event execution skills.
• Ability to use Planning Center (or willingness to learn quickly).
• Commitment to ministry safety, confidentiality, and church policies; must pass a background check and complete required safety training.
• Availability for Wednesday evenings, weekend services, camps, and Youth Revivals.

Preferred: Experience leading student or youth ministry; experience launching or supporting school clubs or campus outreach; Bible college or ministry training.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Orlando, Florida. Some evenings, weekends, and special events may be required.
