Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a dedicated EEYP outreach assistant to support program growth. You will recruit and mentor students, plan workshops and events, and coordinate with schools, community partners, and law enforcement to expand participation.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office; Canva, social media, graphic design, and basic video editing for marketing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college hours preferred.
• One year of work experience, preferably with youth aged 10-17.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Canva, social media, graphic design, and video editing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist EEYP Manager with recruiting and maintaining a student base for EEYP.
• Assist planning and implementation of EEYP programming: workshops, camps, field trips, events.
• Interact with school districts, community organizations, local businesses, and law enforcement to support outreach.
• Supervise, mentor, and engage youth participants; maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate with students, parents, volunteers, and community partners.
• Assist with volunteer coordination, feedback collection, and program data.
• Support EEYP marketing and communications: social media, photography, and video editing.
