Abraxas Youth & Family Services is seeking a Youth Operations Leader in Shelby, OH to oversee the daily schedule on one or more units, ensure adherence to SOPs, and supervise youth activities to maintain safety and structure in a residential setting.

You will provide on‑the‑job training to Youth Development Team Leaders, participate in intake and group facilitation, and support the organization’s mission of empowering youth, families, and communities in a structured, supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months experience in a youth residential facility.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Driver's license required.
• Criminal clearances (State Police, FBI, and State Child Abuse clearances) required.
• Ability to work with computers and basic software.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the implementation of activities to support the daily schedule on one or more units.
• Ensure SOPs, program policies, and client interventions are followed.
• Interact with and supervise clients to maintain safety and security.
• Provide on-the-job training to Youth Development Team Leaders.
• Observe client behavior and intervene when necessary.
• Process intakes and screen clients according to policy.
• Facilitate and document groups and meetings.
• Administer or supervise self-administration of medications when needed.
• Know and implement emergency procedures (evacuation, CPR/first aid).
• Support the organization’s Seven Key Principles of care.
