Job summary

Star of Hope in Houston, TX is seeking a Youth Engagement and Ministry Coordinator to provide ministry, programming, mentoring, and support to youth and families residing at WFDC. This role plans and implements spiritual, educational, recreational, personal development, and enrichment activities for youth in the Teens Ministry Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Theology, Religion, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with, teaching, mentoring, or ministering to adolescents in relevant settings.
• Experience working with youth and families experiencing homelessness or crisis is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate ministry programming for Teens Ministry Program.
• Prepare and teach Bible studies using Biblical curriculum and varied teaching methods.
• Mentor, disciple, and support youth and help them grow academically, personally, and spiritually.
• Monitor youth participation, behavior, progress, and needs; provide reports to supervisors.
• Ensure health, safety, welfare, and supervision during all programs and transportation.
• Coordinate field trips and community-based experiences; conduct parent conferences as appropriate.
