Job summary

Star of Hope Mission in Houston, TX, seeks a Youth Engagement and Ministry Coordinator to provide ministry, programming, mentoring, and support to youth and families residing at WFDC. You will plan spiritual, educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for teens and guide them toward personal, educational, and spiritual growth.

The role involves Bible teaching, coordinating field trips, liaising with schools, and ensuring a safe, Christ-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Theology, Religion, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience teaching or mentoring adolescents in relevant settings.
• Experience with homelessness or crisis involves youth preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement spiritual, educational, recreational, personal development, and enrichment activities.
• Prepare and teach Bible studies using Biblical curriculum and varied teaching strategies.
• Mentor, disciple, and support youth to promote growth and resilience.
• Maintain case notes and provide progress reports to supervisors.
