Job summary

Thompson in Charlotte seeks a Professional Mentor to guide 8-12 male youths in school, home, and community settings, delivering long-term mentorship focused on life skills, safety, attendance, and personal growth.

The role features non-traditional hours (roughly 11 am–7 pm) with some Saturdays/evenings, a 30-mile service radius, and opportunities for growth within a values-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year experience working with children OR Associate's degree with 3 years experience working with children.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong joining and relational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide long-term mentorship to 8-12 male youth in school, home, and community settings (16 hours/month).
• Document goals, hours, and contacts with families and teachers.
• Build relationships with caregivers and partners using a two-generational approach.
