Job summary

El Programa Hispano Católico (EPHC) seeks a Youth Mentor to support survivors of trafficking and DV/SA in Multnomah County, Oregon. The role focuses on prevention, intervention, and empowerment for youth aged 12-25, using survivor-centered and co-advocacy approaches.

The position requires bilingual Spanish/English communication, cultural competency, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related human services field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in Spanish and English.
• Bi-cultural competency and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with case management and intervention services.
• Knowledge of local Latine community issues related to sexual violence and trafficking.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid mobile response to youth referrals, sometimes outside normal hours.
• Engage youth using harm-reduction and trauma-informed approaches.
• Assess youth needs and develop an action plan with timelines.
• Support youth at community events and in accessing services.
• Deliver education to youth using various methods to set school, work, and life goals.
• Coordinate with partners such as CPS, parole, and other services as needed.
• Document youth progress and prepare monthly reports per contract requirements.
