Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is seeking a Youth Advocate at De Colores to empower young survivors and at-risk youth.

You will organize and coordinate youth programs at the shelter and in the community, providing supportive services and case management to build safety, confidence, and life skills. The role requires trauma-informed work with families affected by domestic violence, bilingual English/Spanish communication, and the ability to work flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required; must communicate professionally in both languages.
• Experience providing case management in crisis environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, community-based supportive services and case management to at-risk youth in the community and youth residing at the De Colores shelter.
• Coordinate and facilitate De Colores Youth Leadership Workshops.
• Develop and implement educational and prevention strategies for youth.
• Lead educational and support groups for at-risk youth.
• Research community-based activities and services for youth.
• Maintain active participation in program activities and meetings.
• Maintain accurate client records and complete required trainings.
• Support program initiatives and organizational goals through planning and teamwork.
