Job summary

KidsPeace in Orefield, PA, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (At-Risk Youth) to support children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges in a residential setting. You will supervise daily routines, document progress, and use trauma-informed approaches to maintain safety and therapeutic engagement.

The role offers evening and weekend options, a 2-week training period, and paths for professional growth with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must attend a 2-week corporate training session (9 AM–5 PM).

Responsibilities

• Supervise clients’ daily routines and responsibilities, ensuring completion of personal care and daily living activities.
• Document client behavior, progress, incidents, and significant events.
• Utilize trauma-informed and crisis intervention techniques to support clients.
• Promote positive behavior and therapeutic engagement through structured programming and milieu management.
• Facilitate recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities and assist with treatment plans and goals.
• Provide transportation to school, medical appointments, and other activities as required.
