Job summary

Riverside Community Care invites applications for a Peer Mentor role designed to support youth facing mental health challenges. You will share lived experience to inspire hope, provide outreach, peer support, advocacy, and coordinate with a clinical team across settings including home, school, and community.

The role is 20 hours per week with flexible hours 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; starting pay ranges from $20.69 to $23.34 per hour, with higher rates for Peer Certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors preferred.
• One year experience working with target population required and has completed Core Elements of Young Adult Peer Mentoring Training or is enrolled/waitlisted with DMH approval.

Responsibilities

• guide youth through their treatment process providing outreach, peer support and advocacy, all in accordance to the client’s individual service plan
• help clients gain access to recovery resources and communities
• work in coordination with the clinical team while using his or her recovery experience as a positive model for clients’ process
