Job summary

Riverside Community Care seeks a Peer Mentor to provide strength-based, peer‑to‑peer education and support to youth across home, school, and community settings. You will use your recovery experience as a positive model while coordinating with the clinical team to implement each client’s service plan.

The role emphasizes outreach, advocacy, and guiding families through steps toward recovery, with flexible hours supporting 20 hours per week.

Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Peer Mentor!

Peer Mentors provide specialized expertise based on sharing their own lived experience of mental health challenges with purpose and intent to inspire hope and motivation in a youth who is struggling with similar concerns.

In this important role, the Peer Mentor provides strength-based, peer–to-peer education, coaching, modeling, guidance, and support to youth in a variety of settings, including home, school, community, group home, and other out-of-home settings.

The Peer Mentor will:

• guide youth through their treatment process providing outreach, peer support and advocacy, all in accordance to the client’s individual service plan
• help clients gain access to recovery resources and communities
• work in coordination with the clinical team while using his or her recovery experience as a positive model for clients’ process

Schedule:

• 20 hours per week; flexible hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. to meet the needs of the families

Pay Rate:

• High School Diploma:
  • $20.69/hour
  • $21.31/hour with Peer Certification
• Associate or Bachelor Degree
  • $22.28/hour
  • $23.34/hour with Peer Certification
