Child & Family Development seeks a Life Skills Coach to support Semi-Independent Living and Independent Living Programs for youth aged 16-20. You’ll help design individualized plans for transition to permanence and independence, focusing on life skills, vocational training, and educational goals within the community.

The role is hybrid with 20% remote work; travel statewide is required and collaboration with treatment teams is essential to ensure successful self-sufficiency and placement

Formación

• Associate degree in social work, psychology, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in human services, housing or homeless services.
• Statewide travel is required.
• Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance and car registration.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate individual and group life skills trainings; develop and update curriculum as needed.
• Assess clients’ learning capabilities and problem-solving skills.
• Apply resources to designed curriculum to meet client needs.
• Build professional relationships with families, police, DCYF, schools, and others.
• Communicate with treatment team to support self-sufficiency plans (employment, vocational/education).
• Collaborate with workforce organizations and refer clients to community resources for job opportunities.
• Maintain trauma-informed environment and confidential, empathetic interactions.
