Job summary

Child & Family is seeking a Life Skills Coach to support Semi-Independent Living and Independent Living Programs. You will help create individualized transition plans, build life skills for youths aged 16-20, and coordinate with treatment teams to promote independence through community-based services.

The role is hybrid with 20% remote work; statewide travel is required and bilingual Spanish is preferred. A strong background in social services and collaboration with community partners is

Qualifications

• Associate degree in social work, psychology, or related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 1+ years in human services, housing or homeless services; life coach experience preferred.
• Ability to travel statewide and communicate with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate life skills trainings and develop curriculum updated to client needs.
• Assess learning abilities and adapt problem-solving activities.
• Build relationships with parents, DCYF, schools and community resources.
• Coordinate with treatment teams to support self-sufficiency plans (employment/education).
• Collaborate with outside workforce orgs and refer clients to job opportunities.
• Maintain trauma-informed environment with empathetic, confidential communication.
