Canlan Sports is seeking a Youth League and Program Manager to oversee Youth Leagues, Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey Programs and Camps. The role requires collaboration with Centralized Programs teams to maintain consistent program delivery with a strong emphasis on leadership and customer service.

The position involves staff management, program operations oversight, and sales leadership, with on-site responsibilities and occasional travel to team meetings or conferences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a sports-related business.
• Experience with camps and community programs.
• Knowledge of hockey and figure skating.
• First Aid/ AED certification preferred.
• Clear vulnerable sector police check required.

Responsibilities

• Staff management and program operations oversight; optimize customer experience and financial performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members and instructors.
• Oversee part-time instructors to ensure consistent program delivery.
• Develop customer relationships and drive program sales.
• Support execution of annual operating plan and strategic partnerships.

Accountabilities

• The Manager is accountable for Staff management program operations oversight optimizing customer experience and financial management
• Leadership Competencies and Responsibilities
• Team Management Oversight of part time instructors with an emphasis on consistent program delivery
• Customer Relationship Development Fostering a customer focused culture
• Sales Leadership Driving program promotion and sales
• Decision making and Management Assisting in the execution of the Annual Operating Plan
• Key Relationships Building strategic partnerships internally to drive the success of Canlan Sports

Qualifications and Education

• University Degree or College Diploma in Business Recreation Facility Management or related
• First AidAED certification preferred
• Clear vulnerable sector police check required

Abilities, Attributes and Experience

• 3 5 years of supervisory experience in a Sports related business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with camps and community programs
• Knowledge of various sports particularly Hockey and figure skating
• Strong organizational and customer management skills
