Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a dedicated Youth Development Director for the Norridge Citadel Corps. You will lead the overall youth ministry, recruit and train leaders, and coordinate programs that engage children from infancy through high school.

This role fosters spiritual growth, community involvement, and strong family engagement in a faith-based setting. Responsibilities include administrative duties, budgeting, volunteer coordination, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in youth ministries, Christian education, or related field.
• 5 years of youth ministry experience in lieu of degree or related experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead youth development with leadership development, administration, and pastoral programming.
• Coordinate with volunteers, plan yearly calendar, and recruit/mentor leaders.
• Oversee budget, transportation, and program evaluation for all youth activities.
• Organize and support Sunday school, youth groups, camps, and special events.
• Ensure programs align with Salvation Army doctrine and mission.
