Job summary

The Salvation Army Norrridge Citadel Corps in Illinois seeks a Youth Development Director to lead infant through high school ministries. You will supervise staff and volunteers, coordinate youth programs, and advance leadership development while embedding gospel-centered practices in all activities.

You will collaborate with corps officers and a broad network of youth leaders to plan calendars, manage resources, deliver training, and support families in a Christ-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in youth ministries, Christian education, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in Christian youth work considered in lieu of related degree.
• This position requires a Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the discipleship of leaders and youth for mission effectiveness.
• Develop program goals using Youth Developmental Assets to track outcomes.
• Coordinate youth programming, events, and evangelism aligned with the gospel.
• Oversee administrative tasks, budgeting, reports, and staff supervision.
