YMCA of the Inland Northwest is hiring a part-time Youth Leader at Valley Branch in Spokane Valley, WA. The role supports site leadership by engaging youth during before/after school programs and day camps, modeling YMCA values and building relationships with youth, families, and the YMCA community.

The position emphasizes nurturing care, safety, and program delivery across multiple sites, with opportunities to lead activities and support staff trainings.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Register in MERIT system and complete background clearance and trainings.
• Ten STARS hours must be completed each year.
• Previous experience with children preferred.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• ADA compliance commitment and vaccination proof (MMR).

Responsibilities

• Supports program activities at the assigned location and travels to local sites.
• Supervises and nurtures children in school-age programs and day camps.
• Fosters youth leadership, problem solving, and adherence to YMCA core values.
• Engages with families about child progress and connects them to YMCA work.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized program site.
